The Spirit of Democracy Awards, hosted annually by the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation (NCBCP), is a distinguished celebration of leadership and progress in civil rights, business, racial and social justice, and youth empowerment. Now in its 27th year, the awards honor individuals whose extraordinary efforts protect rights, expand opportunities, and foster equity across our nation.

This year’s event, hosted by Melanie L. Campbell, NCBCP President & CEO and Convener of the Black Women’s Roundtable, and Marc H. Morial, Chairman of the NCBCP Board, will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, in Washington, DC.
